How to move your server store from Tebex
What comes over from Tebex or CentralCart, what you rebuild by hand, and how to swap the Minecraft delivery plugin without losing pending deliveries.

Moving a server store has three parts: bring the catalog over (categories, packages, prices and commands), reconnect payments on the new platform, and swap the delivery plugin on the server. The catalog is the quick part, since several platforms import straight from Tebex. The rest is where migrations go wrong: commands that don't come along, subscriptions that keep billing on the old platform, and deliveries still waiting in the queue when the old plugin leaves the server.
The examples below use a Minecraft server. The same steps apply to CentralCart, a store platform popular with Brazilian servers.
What comes over and what stays behind
Before you start, separate what an import brings from what you rebuild by hand.
| Item | Usually imported | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Categories and packages | Yes | Check order and visibility afterwards |
| Prices and descriptions | Yes | The number stays the same, with no currency conversion |
| Delivery commands | Depends on the source | On Gamecart, they come from CentralCart but not from Tebex |
| Variables and discounts | No | Recreate them on the new platform |
| Customers and order history | No | They stay on the old platform |
| Active subscriptions | No | They keep billing where they were created |
| Payment accounts | No | You connect them again |
On Gamecart, the migration page lists exactly this: from CentralCart it brings categories, products, prices, descriptions and commands; from Tebex, all of that except commands. Variables, discounts and server settings are set up again.
Take an inventory first
Export or write down, package by package:
- the commands for each event (purchase, expiry, renewal, chargeback, refund);
- the variables the package asks for at checkout, such as a tag color or kit name;
- active coupons and sales;
- how many players have an active subscription and when each one renews.
This inventory is your checklist when you review the new store. Without it, a forgotten command only shows up when a player pays and gets nothing.
Get the right credential
Tebex. Imports use the Public Token. The Tebex docs say where it is: log in at creator.tebex.io and open Integrations > API Keys. According to Tebex, the public token is designed to be client-visible and "only allows reading store data and managing baskets", with no access to financial data. Don't mix it up with the plugin secret key, which Tebex says is "for server-to-API use only".
CentralCart. CentralCart uses per-store API keys. Its authentication docs (in Portuguese) say you create the key under Configurações > Integrações, pick its permissions and copy it right away, because it is shown only once. Each key can be revoked on its own, so create one just for the migration and revoke it when you're done.
Import the catalog
On Gamecart, the import lives in Your store > Products, behind the Import button:
- Pick the source (Tebex or CentralCart) and paste the credential. It's only used to read the catalog and isn't saved.
- Review the preview. Products are grouped by category, with a warning for anything that won't come along.
- Select what you want and import. The categories and products are created together.
Three details that catch people out:
- Currency. Each price keeps its number in the new store's currency. A €4.99 package becomes $4.99 in a USD store. Fix prices before importing if the currencies differ.
- Plan limits. Imported products count toward your plan's product limit. Gamecart's Free plan allows up to 3 categories and 50 products (see pricing).
- Duplicates. You can import in parts, but Gamecart doesn't check for duplicates between imports. Leave out what you already brought.
Review every command
Even when commands come along, placeholders change between platforms. A command with the old placeholder runs with the literal text in place of the player name, and the rank goes to nobody.
| Platform | Buyer's username | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Tebex | {username} (or {name}, legacy on Minecraft Java) | Tebex: commands |
| CentralCart | {client_identifier} | CentralCart: products |
| Gamecart | {identifier} | Gamecart: commands |
On a CentralCart import, Gamecart already replaces {client_identifier} with {identifier} in the commands. Still open each command and check: other placeholders, events and the command text itself need a pass. Tebex commands do not come with the import, so you write them again with {identifier} (for example, lp user {identifier} parent add vip).
Events need a match too. Tebex has initial, expiry, renewal, chargeback and refund commands. Gamecart has On Purchase, On Expiration and On Dispute, and the last one also covers refunds, rejections and cancellations. For On Expiration to run, set the product's duration in days.
Two settings per command, under the gear icon:
- Offline delivery: turn it on only if the command works while the player is off the server. A
givedoesn't; a permission command usually does. - Ignore quantity: turn it on when the command should run once, even if the player buys two units.
If your ranks use LuckPerms, the guide on delivering ranks automatically explains addtemp ... accumulate and why it matters for renewals.
Payments and subscriptions
Payment accounts don't migrate. On Gamecart, money goes straight to your own account with each provider, so you connect each one under Settings > Gateways. Stripe, PayPal and crypto through NOWPayments work in any store currency, as the gateway guide lists.
Subscriptions need more care. On Tebex, the Recurring Payments page lists each subscription with its next billing date, and an Active status means it "will automatically renew at the next billing date". No import takes that billing with it. Players cancel through Tebex's own payment history portal, as the subscriptions page explains.
In practice you have two options: keep the old store running until subscriptions run out, or tell subscribers, give them a date, and ask them to cancel there and subscribe again on the new store. Don't shut the old store down with active subscriptions before you decide.
Swap the plugin without losing deliveries
The plugin swap is where ranks get lost. By default, Tebex only runs a command once the customer is online, according to its troubleshooting page. Anyone who bought and hasn't joined yet has a command waiting in the Tebex queue. If you remove the Tebex plugin first, that command never runs.
The order that avoids it:
- Install the Gamecart plugin. Create the server under Integrations > Servers, download the JAR for your platform (Spigot, Paper, Folia, BungeeCord, Velocity or Fabric) and paste the token into
serverToken, as the connector guide shows. - Run
gamecart statusin the console and make a test purchase of each product type. - Stop selling on the old store: hide the packages or disable the store, without deleting anything.
- Wait for the old queue to empty and check its panel for pending commands.
- Only then remove the old plugin.
Use one Gamecart token per installation. Two servers with the same token compete for the same commands.
Domain and announcement
On the Free plan, the store runs on a gamecart.shop subdomain. Custom domains start on Pro, and the domain guide asks for two records: a CNAME to dns.gamecart.gg and a verification TXT. On Cloudflare, set both to DNS only.
If your store domain pointed at the old platform, switch DNS last, after the test purchases. The link players already know then opens the new store with no downtime. Afterwards, update the link in Discord, the MOTD and your server's /store command.
If you're still deciding where to go, Gamecart vs Tebex compares fees and payouts side by side, and the Minecraft page lists the supported server platforms.
